Girls Education International would like to extend our gratitude to Tal Shalom-Kobi and Women in World Jazz. They recently raised money for Girls Education International through a CD release party in January. Every effort like this helps us continue the work we do and we're honored that these talented women chose to spotlight Girls Ed during their event.
From their site: "Our new album features jazz and folk music composed by female artists past and present. From US Blues and Jazz styles we venture to Chile, Brazil, Japan and Israel. This international, all women ensemble, is taking listeners on an exciting world music tour." Follow this link to learn more -- then buy a CD to support these talented women and go on a global journey through music.
The goal of this talented ensemble is to share the music of cultures around the world through their music and dance. The women in the group are Tal Shalom-Kobi, Candida Rose, Laurie Goldsmith, Ririka Tokushige, and Gillian DeLear. You can read more about each of them on the group's bio page.
Thank you so much, Tal, Candida, Laurie, Ririka, and Gillian!
